When I was a child we were taught in school that Condors were extinct meaning they didn’t exist anymore because they were over hunted and the bad press they had as a harbinger of death. Peoples superstitions made them  extinct. I hope they are never hunted again. I have the pleasure of being along a migration route in the mojave desert and had these majestic comedians nest overnight on my property and they had 3 small yearlings in their pack. They are very overprotective of their babies.
