A Rebuttal to The Wired Article: Space Tourism Isn’t Worth Dying For

I agree with him. I live at the crash site and the handling of it was very organized, discreet, law abiding and kept very private because of private ownership I am sure. They were very good at keeping us informed as to what was going on as well.

The Space Ship 2 Disaster is bringing out the worst in journalism.  In this latest article in Wired magazine an attempt is made to separate exploration in space from what the writer considers to be the crass commercial aspect of the Virgin Galactic Space Ship 2 and from what he considers legitimate space exploration.  It is clear that the writer does not understand that Richard Branson has what we call in the space business a roadmap to more ambitious and practical human spaceflight applications (Replace the Pan Am Logo in the movie 2001 with the Virgin Logo).  He also does not even consider the other aspect which is the effect on those who take these trips to inspire and fire their own visions to support future space enterprises.  As one who does this day by day, our biggest problem is money, and government money is not the way to lead…

Your Pit Bull

Amazing story of media fear of pit bulls

Dear River,

I want to tell you a story about your dog, Zoe. We found her cowering at the pound. She wasn’t barking like the other dogs. She was simply laying there, looking up at us. The tag said, “lab mix” and she was slated to be killed in a week. We fell for it, thinking we were buying a lab.

She is not a lab. She is a pit bull.

As Zoe grew, we came to realize the pound had lied. I was scared. I felt irresponsible for letting this type of dog into my home. All of the stereotypes, preconceptions and worries filled my mind. Should I take her back? What would people think of us?

She is the definition of disenfranchised. When first time guests visit we lock her in her cage, not because she is dangerous, but because of unspoken fears. She receives wary glances from strangers as…

Wisconsin Man has Same ‘Supernatural’ Christmas Tree for 40 Years

This is a nice Christmas story. The opposite of the Charley Brown Christmas Tree story

A Wisconsin man has had the same Christmas tree for four decades.

Neil Olson put up a Christmas tree for the last time in 1974, when his six sons went to fight in the Vietnam War and he promised not to take the tree down until all the men were back home safe for the holidays, the Marshfield News Herald reports. Olsen hasn’t taken that tree down since.

Olson’s oldest son was injured at war and hasn’t been able to get home to Wausau, WI, from Washington state for Christmas. The tinsel-dripping, ornamented tree, meanwhile, looks just as it did 40 years ago, though its needles are a bit yellowed.

“It’s supernatural, I say,” Olson, 89, told the Wausau Daily Herald. He added that if his sixth son gets home for Christmas one year, he predicts “the needles will drop right off” the waiting tree.

Iraqi Police: Coalition Airstrikes Kill ISIS Governor of Mosul

At least we are accomplishing the mission the President set out to do

Coalition airstrikes killed the latest Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS)-appointed governor of Mosul on Thursday, according to Iraqi police.

Hassan Saeed Al-Jabouri, known as Abu Taluut, is the second ISIS governor of Mosul to be killed in December, CNN reports.

According to Maj. Gen. Watheq Al-Hamdani, the Iraqi police commander leading the government’s efforts to retake Mosul, Jabouri was killed 29 km south of the city in the village of Qayyara. He had been in office less than 25 days.

Mosul has been a stronghold for ISIS fighters since they took the city from Iraqi forces earlier this year. The Pentagon says they will move to retake the city beginning in January.

The Hypocrisy of American Slavery

Who: Frederick Douglass

When: July 4, 1852

Why it matters: On the day marking American Independence, Frederick Douglass delivered a cutting speech denouncing American society. In the speech he demands to know how a people who pride themselves on liberty and equality can rightfully celebrate these ideals when millions are enslaved. Douglass chastises every American as a hypocrite, noting the irony in the 4th of July festivities taking place as he spoke.

Memorable quote: “What, to the American slave, is your Fourth of July?

I answer: a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim.”

Power Restored For Most Customers Affected By Wind-Related Outages

Amazing we have 95mph wind gusts weekly and in a year lost power 1 time

CBS Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES ( — Power was almost completely restored to thousands on Friday that were affected by the high winds, downed utility poles and power lines on Christmas.

The severe weather caused several trees to fall across the Southland area, leaving damage to several neighborhoods, and in some cases, trapping residents in their homes.

According to Southern California Edison officials, power had been restored to all but 110 customers of the nearly affected 5,600 people that lost power in Irvine on Thursday.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials reported Thursday evening that outages were reduced to about 500 customers. They originally estimated 11,500 residents were without power due to weather related issues.

Hawthorne, Santa Clarita, Inglewood, Granada Hills, Lawndale, Hollywood Hills, Echo Park, Century City and Westwood were a few areas that were affected by the outages.

Strong winds are expected to continue throughout the afternoon, meteorologists explained.

Protesting Police tactics of Extreme Prejudice

I grew up in Hawthorn California surrounded by some hard core gangland shit.

Now I live near California City California in Kern County, Mojave Desert.  We are lucky and as citizens can honestly brag that Extreme Prejudice of our Police Department  is highly unlikely to happen.   In such a small town everyone knows everyone, everyone knows the cops, criminal and citizen alike, our kids go to school with their kids, etc. but there are also other Unprecedented elements to our small police force that gives us  familiarity to our cops and our cops the integrity they need to have to stay safe policing our community.

With the reality of these young black males and Minors not even drinking age being shot in cold blood by officers with peaceful protestors proving this whole police force tactics were racial in nature because of their military like ID Theft during the original demonstrations proving they did have “other ways” of “stopping” “slowing down”  and threatening a minor black child during  his being detained never required the use of a gun.  Your a trained police officer he is a child.  What is the first thing every young male child does when they think they are in a potentially threatening situation????   PANIC, YOU are a police officer TRAINED in these situations for adults because a childs panic can be easily diffused by trained personnel.   YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE. EXTREME PREJUDICE leads to EXCESSIVE FORCE bet the odds in Vegas.

Thank GOD I am  blessed to live in a town where Police still strive for integrity as a person not just a police officer.  Yes we have our issues now and then but it all part of us living together cop and criminal, citizen and politician.   I should also be thankful for the fact that everybody knows the real justice is still found in our overburdened, overworked, underfunded, Justice. The only true law of the land is still upheld to the highest standard by our judges and when you answer him in “HIS” court where he is the law you stammer and shudder when you say “Yes, your honor” and you know you mean it and pray he knows it somehow too…. Dont forget to pay that ticket like you promised him you would or you are going to jail for a parking ticket. Guaranteed.

Arrest related deaths statistical tables Is something wrong here?

via Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) – Arrest-Related Deaths, 2003-2009 – Statistical Tables.

4,813 arrest-related deaths 2003-2009.

11% were suicides

6% were accidental deaths (I can’t breathe!)

42% were white 32% black, 20% hispanic

between 2003-2005 there were 2000+.

I grew up in Hawthorne California and racial profiling can really show a true conviction of statistical information.

Of the 20% hispanic, what were they arrested for.  I remember hispanics in my community (hard core gang members) only got arrested for “petty” crimes, Under Influence, theft, ighting with old lady, loud music, drunk in public, etc.  They get arrested for and charged or “violated” for crimes everyone else gets probation and drug rehab for they get parole violated just for hanging out on the streets singing some art laboe “I’m your puppet” old school music. This is their harrassment.

Why is young black guys hanging out chillin, “a bunch of crack dealers” who usually are not armed as “street soldiers” because thats a violence charge where as an actual crack dealer runs and gets rid of his crack they have nothing on him and his friends aren’t going to tell because they probably don’t know for sure if he is or isn’t because they just chillin.  Its always been the mentality that it is too dangerous to tote around a gun too. Fuck that cops see guns and your done.   So what is the difference here???  It truly is because they are black skinned, and maybe trying to beat the system and get away because come on black guys can outrun white guys all day long being cops too.  Cops police a neighborhood the black guys live there day and night and they see it all.  Mr police officer gets lucky creeping down their streets calling it patrolling.

In my book if you have a chance to not get caught with your contraband then you have a right as a citizen to get yourself off of the charges like you assume cops do to white folks and yes they probably do because we get caught stupidly, drunk, incoherant, beat up, or because we called the cops ourselves.  Black folks only call the cops in extreme cases when their being obviously coerced and harrassed consistently by another person who won’t take no for an answer and get out of their face without police presence breaking it up.

Back in my days growing up Police were livid, afraid and threatened by the Hispanic guys in my neighborhood because they were packing, and screwed up on PCP, Angel Dust, Sherm, LSD, etc.  THis kept police presence to a minimum.  They knew it was dangerous for them if they went extreme prejudice.  Back then they walked a “fine line” now they all act like crack heads going RAMBO on everybody.

State of Mississippi and Oklahoma Aryan Indictments

via Twenty-Five Alleged Aryan Brotherhood Members and Associates Indicted on Federal Racketeering Charges in Mississippi and Oklahoma | OPA | Department of Justice.

These guys are scary, gangland, terroristic, brotherhood.  Ferguson Mo is more like Old Mississippi burning (Gene Hackman), KKK tactics. these guys are more gang mentality stuck in the system. Why is it a white brotherhood can gain so much ground so quickly to become a scary threat to us compared to a mexican or black street/prison gang who can only rise up so far before they are a treat taken down.   This in and of itself proves racial inequality within Justice of our nation.  There is only 1 national justice there cannot be justices here and there according to crimes.   No crime is actually committed until the criminal is found guilty and the “suspect” is innocent until proven guilty.

Outside of this our justice system foundation is born of hell itself.

Community Tensions and Media Bias

via Attorney General Holder Touts Release of New Guidance to Law Enforcement Officers About How to Maintain Order During First Amendment-Protected Events | OPA | Department of Justice.

Frustration is a major contributor to Protest Violence.  I blame the media for being problematic in bias.  Never has a person of the media been charged with bias publicly.  We dont have David Brinkly, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, and the big media mogules of the 60’s- 90’s.  This is a new age of media and we like to know who is willing to be held responsible when bias and unethical media practices occur.  They put themselves out there not for the latter news media mogules to hide behind closed doors.  Which is already unfair practice of unwillingness.

At Least Atty General made a Statement on behalf of Federal level of Justice

via Statement by Attorney General Holder on the Ongoing Situation in Ferguson, Missouri | OPA | Department of Justice.

Why is it racial profiling only occurred in Ferguson MO.  in and around California, New York, etc. There was no racial profiling by any of the medias.  Is this because we should assume the profile is a Caucasion (White) profile because all people are tired of not feeling safe on our streets, in our communities, in a strange neighborhood.  What good are police if nobody feels safe on the streets anymore?

Hell crackheads are afraid to roam the streets these days.  If everyone is indoors all hours of the night what do we need police for.

Ferguson is not just a one sided issue.  The death of every officer in the line of duty is on Missouri’s police officers shoulders.   Died in the line of duty is a harsher reality to every officer today and everyday to come.  Safety is an issue for citizen more but even greater to law enforcement  arresting  a more scared person.  Scared of the person handcuffing them.

How many more have to die before you see how wrong this is. Save your cowardly extreme prejudice for your sercret KKK in Missouri night rituals. Grand Dragon Coward
